One of the most frequently asked questions we get here at HOMEWISE is, "What sort of things do you find during a home inspection?” The answer is that we attempt to find anything that may represent a hazard or expense to you as the buyer, as well as those things that are just plain ugly and may not be readily apparent.
A home inspection is a non-invasive, visual inspection. That means that we report on those things that are readily accessible for visual inspection or operational testing. Despite what people often believe, we cannot see through solid walls. We are however, trained to look at nearly all areas and systems of the home and see them a bit differently than the buyer generally does. There will often be a clue or indication as to the condition of a system or portion of the home. Clues, indications and observations combine to paint us a picture of the current condition of many of the systems of your new home, as well as the homes overall condition.
Take a few minutes and run the slide show above to see some of the not-so- good, the bad, and the ugly we find in homes everyday.
